EFGO is headed NYC!

Our 2020 Every Family’s Got One Season kicks off with a NYC show on Wednesday, May 13th at 7 pm in an intimate performance space called The Garden.

STORYTELLERS WANTED

We are looking for amazing stories that only you can tell about your family. Stories that are hilarious. Or tragic. Or awe-inspiring. Yes, THAT family story. Interested in telling yours live on stage? Here’s what you need to know…

THE FIRST SHOW:

May 13th at 7 PM at The Garden, located in lower Manhattan.

HOW TO SUBMIT:

We are looking for fully written stories, about 5-8 minutes when read aloud. If you have video of you performing your story, or any performance video, please send, especially if we haven’t seen you perform before.

Send to:

Barbara at [email protected]

Put “MAY 13” in the subject line.

Include your contact info: name and phone number.

MORE INFO:

What makes a great family story? Check out the site for writing prompts, family stories on the blog, and video of last year’s show.

Please note: There will be 2 writer’s workshops (dates TBD) to polish up your story.

A big part of EFGO is our writer’s workshop. If selected, co-producer Tony Mennuto and I fully review your piece and are involved in suggesting rewrites, edits, performance tips… all to make your story the best it can be. This has been a very successful way to work plus it’s fun to boot. Think of it as your very own mini writer’s retreat.

This performance is a fundraiser (charitable organization TBA).

Storytellers receive a $40 honorarium.

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT FOR MAY 13TH SHOW ENDS ON MARCH 22.
